Im wondering WHY newbs have the brain power of a dead donkey????? Why would anyone in there right mind join a game that is called TRADEWARS 2002 and act like a lil ***** when they die?????? I cant understand..... Why complain to the sysop and say hey why is this guy killing me I wanna long game not to die in 2 secs...... Why? I never as a newb did this I can't understand it. I asked questions and searched the net to get better isn't that what we ALL did as newbs?
Myabe I'm being an ******* by killing these guys not sure.....but I remember the good ole days of prestone WIPING the floor with my butt and then towing me around in the hole i called a home. Another thing is, SYSOPS out there that don't want Agressive type games SAY so. If you want newbs SAY so. Say hey newb game etc.... like entropy or whoever has the newb game. We as a community need to stay away from the bowing to newb requests of he killed me im mad tell him something. It makes the newb look like what they are but the sysop looks worse. I will never join a newb game. You can count on it. When I do join a game though you can also COUNT on non newb tactics like killing you if I can in 3 seconds. It is TRADEWARS 2002 people. Some Simpler minds don't understand this I regret that for them, but PLEASE nobody cater to them. This is mainly for ALL sysops out there. When peeps start whining tell them hey i bang a game more to your liking next time, or why dont you ask to join the killer non newb. DO NOT cater to them and take their side. We don't need more whiners we need more winners. Just my rant for the day as someone pissed me off.

Would you PLEASE stop whining about the whiners? All that does is make you look like one of them. Yea, I'm as guilty as the next about whining about the whiners. But what I've discovered is that they keep doing the same things, and anything you say will just get ignored at best, and twisted around at worse. Better to suffer in silence and nuke them whenever they pop their heads out of their whine holes.

It is just as you say there are very many that whine, i used to be one of them till i took; what you said later on in your paragraph which was the time to really start learning the game and getting into it. I think what it boils down to is that alot of newbs just don't have the time or want or resources to actually become better players
granted this is not totally their fault. Cuz there are not alot of player out there that will take time to help newbs out. Me on the other hand i try to help everbody i can i think it make the gaming world a better place and more challeging. I think alot of player are scared of new talent to there arenas

But why dont they read up on things before they come on here and accuse some of us of cheating. We can only hope some of the newbies have enough sense to read these forums.

I don't understand that either I think that they are just mad and that is all they have to fall back on. I hope they read the forum too. But as far as the sense thing goes how many people really use the common sense they have?

shrug, this is what its all about :

if there's a noob playin TW, chances are they played TW before... just a long time ago
odds are they arent used to getting podSD'd out of the game in the first 10 minutes just for hitting a fig. Odds are they think that sucks, as TW was/is a game that can last for months - and where the emphasis used to be on long term strategy.

cheating : its not surprising ppl think pdropping/torping script killing is cheating. I mean look at any other f'kin game out there. theyv probably played a graphical game, they know the standards of conduct used there - and they apply those standards to TW. it makes logical sense, till you play TW for long enuff.

(edited in : i wasnt referrin so much to the scripts used, but rather to the act of waiting for someone to hit a fig, then killing them - , a lot of ppl confuse that with camping)

and as for tha name - this game may as well be called "trade we slay your momma and then ride her in our ISS 2002" - ppl would still complain bout dyin, cause when you die, you dont come back for 24 hrs, which is always a pain in the Butt, vet and noob alike

Ah, but you could be nice, by send them a mail telling them how to avoid the mistake they just made, that is one way to let them know what they did. Otherwise there is likely no chance of them getting better. This is advice coming from a newb. [B)] (I do mean after you have blown them up.)

Typh00n hit the nail on the head. Most of the biggest complainers are those returning after many years, I have just returned after 12. But my style of play is read as much as possible to become a better player, see how things changed. And man had they in 12 years. I didn't know what was happening when I got dropped on after touching a toll fighter. But I am continuly learning, but then it was never my nature to whine. [|)]

Narkon is the best newbie I've ever seen so far as attitude goes...'cept for me of course. [:D]

Well I just returned to the game after being gone for a decade. And to be honest I knew from the beginnig that I would have to learn the game all over again. I'm playing a game right now, and I am happy to say that I am still alive. I've had the **** blown out of me several times already, but hey that's part of the game! I don't mind, live and learn ya know! The more I die the more I learn. I'm not about to whine just because someone is better at the game than I am(at least their better right now...but that won't last LOL)

So feel free to blow my **** away, cause I would do it to you!
