Brian is my first name. 'T' is the first initial of my lastname. Nothing special, just me.

Cool, I was stationed in Seoul Korea for two years back in the early 90's and commander US Naval Forces Korea. Loved that tour over there.

Nomad is pretty straight forward as a name goes. I'm usually out there alone. Used to play under the name Abaddon after a bad guy/kinda good guy by the end in a series by Julian May. Abaddon is the name given to him after he leads a rebellion that burns a planet, earning him the title "The Angel of the Abyss". Original reference to the name is from the book of Revelations. Gave it some thought and didn't like the underlying meaning of the name so I changed it.

Heat Sink is a name that was given to me. I am an active member in the virtual flight simulator world and it is custom to have your flight handle given to you. (older tradition)
There are multiple reasons why this name was picked, but I dont feel like typeing them all out
Anyways, I use to go by Shadow and have decided to change to this name because its unique and theres not 3 of us running around!

The name i have used for years i guess i made up completely off the top of my head around 1991. i am 6 foot 4 and weigh 110 lbs. i am also allergic to sunlight. hence the same Slim Shady. ok, that might be a small fabrication of the truth.. i picked up the name around the turn of the millenium (sounds cooler than 99/00) because my twars character has multiple personalities (slim, marsh, em.. etc) and doesnt take sh*t from anyone. i can be in an escape pod hooked on your IG on your 400K fig 8.0 offensive odd ship and i will still get in the last word before you smoke me cause you never know when the table will turn, and also i hate my mother.. ill start a new thread for that one j/k i also dont take it too seriously and can joke and play with most anyone without them forcably huntin me down (unless marshall comes out, then watch out)
anywho, i feel i have rambled on enough, and its time to goto my work christmas party and drink some beer (yes, it is towards the end of march, i know that, my work is a little slow on things)
Slim

I always liked Capt Ahab always looking for that white whale. I've also been known as Outlaw because I AM one. Don't you just love that gray area of the law? and Boojum which is from Lewis Carroll's The Hunting of the Snark. I believe the line goes 'Though a common snark does no manner of harm, I feel it my duty to say.....Some are BOOJUMS.' This is probably not a direct quote but is close enough to get the point across.

Rand Al Thor is the main character in the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan. I am addicted to the series, I just wish he would finish it!!!!
I also go by Shen Al Calhar when playing red. Which is also from the Wheel of Time books as meaning "Band of the Red Hand" in old tongue.

Well mine was given to me. I orginally started in `87 as Zandarandaz, played that handle until I started playing all the table top games Games Workshop put out, and my companions felt it was to long and hard to pornounce so they gave me Narkon. I keep Zandarandaz for playing Choas commanders, and for gothic forums.
As far as meanings, Narkon I found out is actually a last name, they gave me the name for my real life name starts with an N and we were at a Con, and WB was on. Narf!
Zandarandaz I made in the 6th grade from a book that showed how to make names with meanings (REally wish I could find the book again so I could use it for my writings).
The name means: Curse sent from God. (as in me being the curse)
Thats the only two handles I use.

I took mine from my mentor, "Galactic Overlord" when he quit playing at bbs.paul.com. I call him my mentor but I don't think he ever really even liked me that much He did teach me the game though, because I wouldn't quit sending him messages full of questions, I was relentless. He saw me in a game about a year later and said "you took my name??" I said "well I modified it, do you care?" He said, "why the hell would I care?" He had his own private system that I played on, and I knew him in person as well.
I never saw him in a game again.
On a side note, once at a get together he told me about an old string that was passed around BBS's like fidonet and WWIV about "If I were a Galactic Overlord" and it listed things not to do if you become a Galactic Overlord. That's where he took the name from, and it's also why I use it.
People see the name and think that I believe I'm all that and a box of crackers. I think that's the funniest thing about the name, that people take this darned game so seriously.
There used to be

Well I suppose I might as well chime in here too. It's been ages since my last visit/post here, but why the hell not? Gotta start somewhere right?
Anywho, "Gatewaysysop" is pretty simple really. I used to run an old dialup board 'back in the day' called "The Gateway BBS". I had a ton of door games on it (TW GOLD 3.09, of course), several which I never saw anywhere else. Sadly the user base dwindled off heavily after the mid 90s came and went, but I left it up and running until it finally bit the dust from old age. I still have the HD somewhere, but it's not like I'll be putting an old 200mb drive into any of my new machines now. [:D]
Back to the handle though, it's just an homage to my old board. I'm too lazy to think of anything more original, so I decided to just jam the two words together and use it. [:)]

Lets see, me and a group of sailors were very very drunk when our submarine anchored out in Gibraltar. Well we missed the last liberty launch and ended up hanging out in an alley by a pub for the next few hours. Still very drunk, passed out leaning against a wall, ended up sitting there asleep for a few hours. Woke up to a cat sleeping in my lap. Now Remember, these are sailors, immediately I got the razing of my life for the next couple of hours and the remainder of the deployment. Seems, after all was said and done, I was the only one who got any "kitty" in Gibraltar. As the cat was an alley cat and a male the nickname Sir Alley Kat was tossed around a bit and I modified it a bit for my handle later when I first started playing on muds.
Suralle Straykat was born.
