But to answer your question. I have played for a few years now and this has never happened. But I will say this, If I logged in as you in important games and CBY'd you after blowin away your corp's resources, would you be happy? Most probably not and maybe yes because your so insiginificant that your corp probably doesnt expect much from you.

I couldnt care less what you think Jay Arby, so have fun with your insignificant posts! I said my point and maybe lorilei was totally clueless but someone had tedit access and someone did use my latest password. I know for a fact that they didnt get it from alienbase or puppetmasters or even blacksun. So obvious where it came from.

Mystic I am not even going to argue with you anymore it's pointless in defending myself. I know what is in my heart and I know I have done nothing wrong. All you guys can believe what you want because its useless in trying to straighten things out. All I know is in real life I am having major problems and do not need this stuff happening. If you believe what Mystic says then go ahead. I have tried over and over to tell you guys that I did nothing wrong but since you do not believe me then I really cannot defend myself. All I know is somebody is ruining my reputation and it really does hurt my feelings but I guess you guys do not care if you hurt someones feelings or not. Mystic by the way nobody has tedit access to my board. I am the only one who has acess to my board and nobody else does. I do not even play tradewars anymore. I gave up playing the game like 6 months ago or even longer.

maybe you yourself didnt give out the password.
but nicidimus somehow got it and the only game i played with him ever was at your server.
now to the point, i learned not to play there and myself and others will not play there.

That is a difficult thing to find on the internet, except for people that are hosting TWGS servers. They pay for the internet access and the domain name. Not to mention the cost of the hardware, TWGS and TWGS Gold.

That seems to me like a big expense to burden oneself with just to cultivate passwords so someone can cruise the other TWGS' with the sole purpose to disrupt your games.

Then again, remembering back to the ol' BBS forum days, it seems to me that the only people that are taken seriously are the ones that don't degenerate to name calling and cussing. Maybe things have changed since the internet became so accessable to everyone. Somehow i doubt that. I suspect it's still the same people that were doing it then. Sexually frustrated teenagers that have nothing else to do but blame the world for their laments.

Bottom line, if you feel you are being treated unfairly at someones TWGS, maybe you should try a nice game of chess. That way your opponent can retort your blanket accusation in person. Or try network marketing.

Yes many ops do cheat now days.. Times have changed..

But they generally dont share passwords..
However
Many ops these days are morons.. Times havent changed..
They will find edits they really like.. in a game with 200 players and archive the settings.. it's such a good game they share the archive..
Problem.. TWGS Bug.. Well known "thing"..
Passwords would get shipped in the settings.. I had some TWA files around here that had them and I bet all in all I had close to 200 names&passwords&corppasswords..

Yes, some people will always take advantage of you. It has been my experience that the only person who let's me be taken advantage of is me. If i use the same password on multiple boards then i only have myself to blame if it is compromised.

However, openly blaming a sysop of cheating just because of circumstances that may be beyond their control is still harsh. You say that some sysops then and now are morons. i would have to take issue with that accusation. there is a difference between trying to do something that is unfamilure and making mistakes as opposed to being aware of the mistakes and continuing to make them.

Don't forget the definition of insanity: Repetative behaviour expecting different results.

The point i was trying to make is this: we all enjoy the game, yes people are going to cheat. There is nothing we can do about that. If a sysop is cheating, then let's see the imperical proof. I saw a post from someone claiming that an opponent was brought back to life becuase they saw a pod that belonged to that player destroyed. I sometimes have a screen full of pods in my sector, they would all have shown the same results in the daily logs if destroyed. That doesn't mean that anyone cheated. I did notice in that post that the pod that was destroyed didn't have the witty "comments" that are posted by the game when you are blown up.

Oh yeah, and then there is world peace LOL.
