Hey zentock have you ever run a server LOL, ya I know you have but some of them settings are NEGATIVE and WONT allow the game to move very fast LOL
30 commands per cycle is optimum setting, just ask Phoebe
hehe

Hello res. : )
Yes sir I am aware that the settings I suggested will slow the game but as they will affect everyone equally I see no reason not to use them unless of course theres a hidden reason, say to give the broadband players another edge over the dialup players? as far as I see it, the game needs to be configured where no matter what ones connection speed is, all will process the same or close to the same amount of commands per sec. this then reduces the game to skill and tactics. and that after all is what we are doing this for is it not? I mean just because someone can code a macro or script to do complex actions does not mean that there any better then the next player. it really only means that the players who can do that have a very small likelyhood of sending an error in the form of a typo. and theres that reaction time delay thing.
I hope that everyone involved in this can understand what i am saying,
if not then this is all really just another waste of time.

Hey zentock if we could remove the speed factor, the game would surely be equal as far as scripts are concerned, but for AT KEYS COMBAT, I'd still KILL YOU ALL REPEATEDLY
Muhahaha
Res Judicata
ps my experience is that the SERVER will fail if you set commands lower then 30...
crashes as peeps scripts and macros will send more then ...err 8 per..

Try Game BBS as well, there are many turns based games and some decent players who regularyly take on new corpies. If you want to learn I suggest you start with turn games. I personally belevie that turn managment is crucial, it's a good habit to get into right away. I find low turn games tend to allow you more time to play, nlimited's are fast and deadly.
Tell you what, how about you suggest who I should ally or corp up with? I'd really like to know who you think I should learn from. Maybe I can avoid becoming burnt, deep fried, or bacon baked. That way I won't become a potato product?

When your done with res's noob course, you can call me for lesson 2:
World Key Mapping (101 macro set)
Advanced Key Mapping (202 macros)
Key Mapping and large fry (303 Macros)
Then we touch on scripting-
Scripts: How to uninstall and delete
Scripts: How to ztm by hand, with a room full of white walls
I will also teach you the advanced method of being deleted from BOTE. ROFLMAO..
If you want good players, thestardock.com / The Game / Coastgames / Alienbase / LTT That's all I can think of off the top of my head.. Stay away from Striders board, MajorPayne's board, and mostly any other board that has flames over 10 messages long, heh. Boards like that generally attract a lower level player that resort to cheating/duping ect ect.
I usually like dupes, but not when the game only consists of 2 teams. The 5 servers I listed above, generally have 3-5 teams in every game. Good luck orion.

Well I'll take Res up on his offer. Or Graz, either one. You wanna teach, pass it on then. Res, you kicked my butt enough about three years ago. I haven't had the pleasure of getting kicked by Graz yet. By the way Res, what ever happened to that guy Delcambre that had it in for you? He talked enough smack for everyone here and then some. Claimed he was all keys. Myself, I mostly used straight telnet with .txt files for macros. Didn't know what a helper was.
Now you may all tell me how horrible I really am. Can't do it any better than I do myself.
