Reminds me of an Ex-SYSOP who played Tradewars while smashed, saw that I had invaded his base planet and took it over, so he hung up on me (it was a one line BBS) took the phone off the hook, loaded the editor gave himself 100K Figs in an ISS and changed his alignment to mega good, took back the planet, podded me, and put a ton of offensive figs and mines in the sector that my pod landed in. Then sent me a message that looked like Zepher's post here, and put the phone back on the hook. He claimed he never would cheat unless he was smashed. I logged back in, and my pod was instantly destroyed.

Who wouldn't cheat unless they were firmly hammered? I can speak to that...
