The problem with this server is that anyway you look at it Zentock does what he wants. He looked around and knew that certain people were not threats and that others were so he cried to the sysop to get certain people banned while allowing others to stay. That is wrong no matter what the rules are Shadow. To ban people and then close a game is just silly. Nowhere on the game did it say it would be closed. Zentock saw this as an opportunity to get rid of the only real competition in the game and used his pull over the sysop of this board to get it done. Period. I can see his thinking now..."If we ban three of that corp (the only corp who has attempted moths) then close the game they wont be able to bring anyone else in to moth us." That is the same as using tedit to add figs. It is cheating no matter how you look at it.

Banning people is a drastic step - one that hurts everyone in the game, not just the team that had players banned (see USO 2002). In this example, I don't see how Zentock could be too pleased with the result either - what fun is it if the game is just closed? Nobody wins.

Even so - The sysop has a rule, it is apparently well posted, and some players broke the rule. Those players have no ground to stand on. How hard is it to read the rules, and then either agree to be bound by them, or avoid playing in the game?

Some people used "bad words" on a daily basis. They were previously warned.. Those that did not get banned and were saying the wrong things.. were warned.
Take into account they amount of things said..

Those of you that were involved and have the 'whole' log of the conversation know that I didnt start the name calling. I say retialiation is fair game. But thats just me.. Some of us dont like to sit and listen to people bash and bash you with whatever they feel like saying Because you are fed safe sitting at dock while you are at work (lucky me) .. not really having time to 'play' but able to keep up with whats going on in game.

Anyway.. everyone has their story and why this and why that.
Personally I dont think anyone should have been banned.

In actuality it started a long time before last night.
In actuality, as Ive mentioned a couple times, others were warned Previously (before). Others had also been previously kicked off the same server. So.. maybe the sysop had a little extra incentive to do what he did.

Smack Talk, Sh1t Talk, Trash Talk, Mind F$$$ing. Ya all that and its part of life not just VICE, look at sports, orginal SMACK TALK, some of you will realize soon, that Tradewars has become a SPORT, its not just a 'game' per say its a legit SPORT with TEAMS.

I agree that not all servers have REAL MEN PLAYING A SPORT, rather family folks and social types that love TW and wish to enjoy amature play. I do not use the word amature lightly.


I personally have been working towards CASH PLAY with Realistic Rules taking all factors into account.
Cherokee is currently working with me on a BALANCED SET of CASH GAME Rules for TW play like the SPORT IT IS.

Call it the Major League or whatever, but keep the family league type servers safe and IDENTIFIED.
Not all peeps, wish to classify themselves as a Professional, to play TW like a MAN or adult...like the SPORT TW IS, so its understood that some consider themselves professionals and never win look at Cleveland Indians....they are pros yet have not won a dam thing.

The Bottom line is that professional competition is hard to find, some times you wind up on a protected private server that does not cater to the SPORT of TW with all the RULES of ENGAGEMENT of a TRUE SPORT. NO HOLDS BAR'd on Smack talk its the UNSPOKEN RULE of most all Team Sports in the World Today.
