Arkadic, I heard that your milton bradley also known as Ghost Rider who is a very well known cheat all over. Just because you lost in your game or something... you have alot of balls to accuse Platinum Warrior and Xide of cheating.

Now since i'm getting back into Forums onto to you Arkadic... I've told you directly what i will do to you if I find you in a game or anyone that plays with you.. I don't have to dupe or Cheat to win a game.. Slandering mine and Col Sander's handle's thru the mud along with Oldtimer's Server... Come's with a heavy price...hope you can pay the piper....

I can't comment on any of your other remarks but I will say that when it comes to Coastgames Twgs, you are way off base. Oldtimer runs one of the better servers around and does not tolerate duping. He does run a game specifically for dupes called Dupe Chess. He runs a great twgs and he is a caring and hardworking sysop.

Yeah, that's going to do a lot of good. Tell Arkadic that you're going to kill him/her/it on sight. What do you suppose will happen? Do you think he/she will log on as Arkadic again?

Why telegraph your intentions? Just blow the person up a few dozen times. Then he/she can come back here and claim that the sysops are feeding his/her location to the players because he/she hasn't a clue what grimying, limpets, fig-clouds, port-subtraction, etc. are. And we can have more fun mocking the little git.

Funny, you aren't the only person who's replied to this thread, either, so it's possible I wasn't referring directly to one of your posts.

Of all the servers out there coast games is the one that nobody should complain about. Jerry runs what is in my opinion the best server in TW today. He is fair, runs clean dupe free games, and puts alot of time into everything that involves his server, and not only his server tradewars it's self. I know for a fact, anytime i have ever ask Jerry any questions, or asked for anything he had responded very fast, and had no problems.

I agree totally. As an old timer that used 4800bps modems, and monochrome monitors, I remember when it was fun. Integrity meant something. Heck I quit coming online at all in TWars because a place I had never harmed, never done anything wrong too, immediately assumed me of wrongdoing despite the fact I had been on about 10 times the previous 2 years. Kinda hurts your feelings to see stuff like this. But oh well, I guess this is progress?

(BTW - Two other people I've found doing this "dogmeat" "Platinum Warrior" (who I wouldn't be surprised is Overkill with a name change))

These LOSERS probably don't know how to tie their own shoes let alone play a GOOD game of TW!

Anyhow, thats my report as a TW Junkie from the 80's checking out the scope of TWGS Game Servers..

Hang around Hosem...check several sites and catch up on the changes that have been happening in the game! I also started on local dialup BBS sites hosting the game before TWGS was developed by John Prichett after he bought the code from Martech. The posts you have made in several forums here always seemed to make sense. Find a nice quiet site and than come back with blazing photons enabled![:D]

You know, I havnt played TW in quite a while but I do have something to say. I agree with what Oldtimer and Bohemian are saying. Jerry does a damned fine job of busting dupers and has ever since he started running that board. If you have a problem with the way things are done on the board, its probly cause you cant game worth a crap anyways. If you could make a decent player out of yourself, your story would probably be a whole lot different than it is. Dont blame the server for you poor gaming ablities, blame yourself.[:D]

Unfortunately my corp and I are going through similar problems on a less known BBS called Harf!. Dupes running rampant, and what seems like users able to access edit comands, don't ask me how. Biggest problem is that it is run by a BBS enthusiast rather than a TW enthusiast. My advise to the last few posters looking for a quiet game is to check this thread next week. My corp and I will be moving to a new TWGS that will be COMMUNITY BASED! Where making friends goes hand in hand with playing your favorite game. We are bringing a bunch of Harf! refugees with us. Site is still under construction it seems, but the sysop has made a promise to us to eliminate dupes, and provide a nostalgic server to play on. Telnet portal will be active next week.
This is will be tailor made for the trader looking for community rather than Cheating and tournament domination.

No offense intended Bone Collector, but thats probably why this game would not be for you. Not everyone is interested in a game wher SD is blocked the first day. Is it effective? yes. but some people like a game where you build. This will be such a game. The traders there are quite competitive, but they like to get to know the people they play with,THEN destroy them. And not many people come to the forums. Probably cause there is alot of holier than thou people, who bash newer users. We are in the Smack Talk section Anyway for people that want a fun server that is community-based, the Sysop will be banging a new game on Wed. I will post the IP on monday, or you can go to the webiste, the IP will be posted there on Monday as well.

I am just giving you a hard time. I think it is important for newer players to get the feel for the game, but at the same time they shouldnt be sheltered. You guys approached this the right way. Advertise game where people know that it is a BUILDING game and that will allow newer players a chance to get in there and learn the game. Plus, if it is turns, it would prolly help peeps like me to get better too. Anyway, just wanted to let you know i was only giving you a hard time. Noone has bashed me on here lately so i thought i would give someone a reason to.
