 Bank account maximum too low

after not playing tw for many years I have noticed that there are so many places to play now that people give up on a new game too soon.
I think that if the bank account max was raised to 1 to 5 mil this would keep some players in the game that would otherwise quit because they got killed early in the game. along with this change I would also like to see atm machines at all class O ports and all ports in fed space so you can acess your cash more freely. "sure'ly capitalism would reach deep space by now".

Just voicing my opinion... I think 500k is plenty for the bank account. It should be more than enough to get players into a new ship, a couple figs and some shields in most games. If it's not, shame on the heavy edits.

I hafta agree with Potato on this one, maybe not 5M creds but 500K is a VERY low number, especially with some of the pros out there killing newbies, I've given up in a couple games where 500K just wasn't enough to get me back into the game a 500K increase would be a great help and still doesn't make it incredibly high, I dunno about the class 0/ fedspace ATMs.

Yea I think it should be raised to 1 mill. I think 5 mill would be too much. And I think that being able to get money from a class 0 would be a bit much. I'd just make another SD at that point.

That's actually an interesting concept . . . 2 SDs . . . I don't endorse it and it would totally change the game. . . but it WOULD be interesting to see it happen. I wonder what people would do then. . .

I agree with the concept, but also agree that 5 mil is too much. As a side note to Lewdpotato, Wonderful. TW Needs players thinkiing about the game and not just thinking about the scripts they can use to kill newbies.

I think 2 SD's really would change the game. But I don't think it would be too extreme of a thing. What I think would be too extreme would be is if the player could build a Class 9 port anywhere they felt like it. If there were two SDs I think it would be that much harder and twice as expensive to blockade it. Also if there were more than one SD if you could tie the Bank account into each other, so that the bank functions much like a modern day Bank Branch where you can access your money from any branch. But anyway, I think it should be made available to the sysop if he wants to add another one. This may already be available (I don't know I don't have the TWGS). Blah... thats my 2 cents.

Lets Face it, Scripting, Macro's and Helpers have changed this game more than raising bank account maximum ever could. Im only making a suggestion here that I think would enhance this game. Hey Rave, the sky is blue. (grin).

I think the bank account should go with the edits... but I agree that the amount in a bank account should be enough to buy a ship, figs, shields.... atleast enough to get you outta SD.

I will respect you in the morning but I won't wake up till noon.

Depends. It was orange last night when the sun set. It was gray this morning because of nearly one hundred percent cloud coverage due to thunderstorms. If you live in the far northern areas of the hemisphere, the sky is often technicolor due to Borealis.

So I guess the color of the sky really does depend on where you are. :o)

I could see raising the bank account maximum maybe to a million, but I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for it to happen in the current game. It's currently full speed ahead towards a final release, meaning as few changes to gameplay as possible.

i think it should be raised to at least 1 mil, most of the games i am playing right now, to get just a new basic ship is at least a mil. but i guess it depends on what edits the game has.

I have often wished I could have the choice of bank balance size when banging a classic game (Leave it at 500K) or doing a Gold game (1 Million, no higher). Most of my games are not edited to the point where 500K will not get you into a decent ship, but... in league play, it might keep some of us alive a bit longer.

I would also love to be able to have that second Stardock out there, and not have it show on the V screen. I do agree that it will make it more difficult to do a total blockade. Might just make it darned interesting. I could enjoy seeing it very blue-friendly, ie attacking or just ripping the funds off of the reds.
