Ok well I kind of want it to last a little bit of time but what is a good turn amount to use for a Cature the flag turny?
If I use unlimited it'll last about 3 hours.
So what do people on your servers enjoy? low turn, high turn, middle turn?
then what settings should I use to make it fair for both RED and Blue corps, but still make the game difficult without loseing everyone that plays????
hope this made any kind of since, and you guys can help me out...

The amount of turns you assign per day should be based on the number of sectors you have in the game.
I prefer about 1k turns in a 5k sector game.

So if it's a 20K sector game about 4K turns?

Wyhteagle,
It depends on who you ask. My feeling is that if you have more than 2k turns per day, you may as well make it unlimited. A good corp with 2k turns can lock down a game in a matter of hours. (Much like an unlim...) Most turns players like between 700 and 1200 turns per day, and 5k+ sectors. While adding more sectors will usually make the game last longer, it's often the case that all that does is just make the winning corp spend a few extra days mopping things up.
Now, is this a seek out and cap the alien ships type game, or is it take and hold a particular planet? For a seeking game, I'd go for 500-700 turns per day. Just enough to get a good start on day one, but not really enough to get an extreme edge on the opposition. You might want to remove probes from all ships, and increase the number of sectors to make it last longer. For a cap a planet game, like chess, you could probably go with more turns (1000 or so), and 5k sectors.
just my .02

One thing you're not thinking of though, traitor, is that most good corps don't play more than 2k turns/day.
