Trying to do a little developing while at the office, but get that error.
I'm running it from an account that's in the local Administrator group. Does the account need to be specifically named "Administrator"?

Do you have the TWGS setup for outside connections. via port for admin, and what ever you have set as the logon for the telnet log on Password is what you should use not the local. But you have to have it set up for it ahead of time. Also have to have the player name set to be a Sysop (Admin). but even then, it is limited as to what you can do. unless you setup a RDP protocol, to remote access your computer you have your TWGS on then you will have full access like you were there, you have to set up this connection as a full Admin account. I know I have to go through this for my Web Server that I have my TWGS on.

Installation on my main server is fine. Everything works and is running.
Installation over here, gives me that error after initial install. I install, click icon, get error.

Okay on the server you have your game server on. try the Administrator as you were thinking, then see if it works. Let me ask these questions first, are you getting the error trying to log on to the server that has your gameserver on it? And is it a web server or a home server? And exactly how are you trying to connect? I need this info to be able to help more on the problem.

I'll refer to the problem server as "Dev", and my working server as "Prod".
Both Dev and Prod servers are running on Windows 2000 Pro.
Prod server was installed under an "Administrator" account, while Dev was installed under an account in the Administrator group.
The problem is when I attempt to click on the TWGS desktop shortcut on the Dev server. It errors out. I will try changing accounts really quick to see if this fixes the problem.
