about how long does it take for aliens to start showing up?
because when I goto computer, the tell it to list all aliens, it doesnt show any (just started the game today but I recall having this problem before, where no aliens ever show up)

and yes, I do have internal aliens, etc.. turned on... so dont ask me if I do please

I had a similar question not too long ago. First, I don't believe internal aliens show on the player display '#'. And they should start showing up right away.

I hit C to goto the computer
I then hit H for alien trader rank...
then I hit T for titles or by rank
the resulting list is empty...

do I have to make my own aliens? or do they just start showing on their own?

I think it takes time for them to generate. Some people age the game when they bang/rebang, and all the aliens are pretty established.

The amount of internal aliens in a game is based on the age of the game. I just enabled them in a 136 day old game, and I had 50 show up within a minute on the chv menu. However, no internal ferrengi showed up on the chv menu when I enabled them, even though they were moving around and hitting fighters in the game. So basically you're either not giving the internal aliens time to show up or you have the internal ferrengi enabled and not the internal aliens.

ok, thanks.. that worked

WHEN I have aliens on I dont like to have them show up for at least 2 weeks. But you can set the time to whenever. You can also make them stronger on day one and how many show up at first all in the alien configuration.

I believe they were talking about internal aliens, not gold aliens. That being the case, you can't change any of those settings for them that I know of.

Then if they were you are right.

Ok, do the gold aliens show up in chv then? or no..

Another question, I see ferrengi ships there, but they're not aggressive, why?

If I remember correctly, only internal aliens show up in the chv list.
As for non aggressive ferrengi, if they are internal ferrengi they suck. If they are gold ferrengi then the behavior settings are default, it takes some time to figure out what all the settings do and what they affect but you can make some pretty mean aliens in the gold editor.
