In the CW2 game I was taught that in mixed corps that if a blue should have a lot of experiance that it would pull the reds' experiance down making them less effective at cashing. But Singularity has just told me that he has tested this 5 times and found that experiance loss is due to alignment. Actually, he said, exp loss = 25% of the 2nd "most extreme" (farthest from 0) player's alignment.

Has anyone else studied this to confirm or denigh his claim?

Slight misquote... =)

What I said was, more specifically... Originally I looked at tw-cabal and got confused (it's correct, but my brain occasionally fries on the explanation).

Linky:
http://www.tw-cabal.com/formulas.html#E ... t%20Extern:

So I wanted to see if I understood it right. Tested in the last 5 games I've been in, 200 or so combined tests, and it seems about right.

The way I tried to phrase it was:
25% of the 2nd most "extreme" (The farthest from 0) player's alignment is lost in experience.

This is one of those annoyingly complicated things to phrase. So bleh. I think it's easier to say that the lowest red and the highest blue alignment are taken, the absolute value of those alignments are then compared. Of those 2, the lowest is divided by 4, rounded (up or down? dunno) and then removed from corpies across the board.

Uhm. I think. Anyone ever find a good way to phrase this?

It's probably truncated. Almost everything else in TW is.

Just to clarify, I didn't mean to sound critical. Most explanations longer than 3 lines tend to cast this nasty fog over my... oh no, there it goes again.

Jack and Jill went up the hill to fetch some corp alignment. Jack has +1000. Jill -5000, how much comes tumbling down? :) Haha...
