How much fuel ore would it take to bwarp 1 hop? In a test game, it took 10. But it was an edit. Is there any differances between edits or is it a flat 10 units of fuel ore per hop?

With the initial cost of buying the planet transporter and the cost of upgrades and with the per-warp amount of fuel ore being 10 rather than 3 for twarp, what are the advantages of bwarping then?

Well the advantages of the tpad is completely about turns. turns are the most precious resource in this game. less wasted turns is more done on other things.

1 turn is definately an advantage. There's also no move delay so it's a faster warp than twarp. Also very handy when moving product or buying down using a ship without twarp should you need to swap ships. Can also come in handy in several edits where planets up to lvl 1 in 0 days, cheap out from an interdictor.
There's a lot of reasons to use it.

Ok. Bwarp is 1 turn. I though twarping was 1 turn too. How many for twarp? 2 turns to Bwarps 1?

Bwarp, is one turn per use, (warping from the Transported pad in the Citadel on your planet. is called Bwarp because of the assigned command is assigned as the letter B.) Twarp or TransWarp this depends on the number of moves designated for the ship you are in when Twarping, or its TurnsPerWarp (TPW). Pwarp does not cost any turns, (warping your planet from one sector to another, PlanetWarping.)
Bwarp costs 10 units of FO per sector.
Pwarp costs 400 units of FO per sector.
Twarp costs 3 units of FO per sector.
