The game does not generate black holes. Unless a sysop purposely adds them, you'll never see them. As an interesting side note, from a ship in a black hole you are able to xport to any ship, regardless how the xport range of the one you are in.

Is there a reason that sysops don't post ZTM data (at least for warps) for the games they host? It seems like it is a horrible waste of time for all the players to ZTM a game before they start playing it.

I know that it allows some players to have a better map, but that isn't a reflection on the players themselves as much as how well their scripts run.

Is it not fun to have everyone on the same starting point and use a sysop generated ZTM?

It's strictly a matter of taste Drakmir. I've followed you're progress in extracting data from TW's data files directly with interest, and think it's a great idea, but I personally enjoy the unknown universe feel on day one of a new game. If anything, having full warp specs will only give good players a better head start with base building.

With an unknown universe, it takes time to ZTM and explore a universe to find good base locations. That can delay even a good corp from selecting a base location on day one. But with full warp specs, bases can be picked before game start, and fortified sooner, thereby favoring veteran players even more.

Just one man's opinion.
