Is there a Particular "science" to the order of appearance of traders when there are multiple traders in the same sector? Without giving this any thought it seemed that it would make sense that they would be in alphabetical order, but then after looking in some games i dont think thats how its done. Then i said maybe its done by rank... anybody know FOR SURE how its done? any help will be GREATLY appreciated.[:D]

Actually it has to do with the order the players joined the game. You have the Feds first, then empty ships, but the traders are different. You join a game and are the first player in, you will always be the first target after the Feds and empty ships, if you are second to join the game you will always be second after Feds and empty ships unless the first player is not there, then you will be first. So if you want to be one of the Stardock blockading idiots with nothing better to do then try to be the first in the game and keep track of the order people join. That will give you a heads up on the order they will come up at the attack prompt at SD.

Well it was not directed at you or any particular person, it was just a general statement. I think SD blockades are the unskilled way to get kills.

The order is most acurately described as the order from least to greatest of the player record numbers. When you join a game, you get the first empty record number, which is not necessarily the order you joined. If for example you're the 10th person in the game, but the player with record number 2 has timed out, you will become record 2 and be the second in the display/attack order. Incidentally, players are shown online in the same order when you press #

please note, you stay at whatever record you are when you first join the game. Re-reading my message, I thought it was possible there might have been confusion over that.

Actually there was when I read it, I understand the order to be the same as if you were in tedit going through all the current users, where it throws a wrench into things is when people start getting deleted for not playing, then you really have to pay attention to note which user position they are in. Say user 5 gets deleted and a new person joins, even if you have 50 users that person will be assigned to user 5 and not 51.

Great Stuff, was wondering though if the above information was not available (when players joined), would there be any way of determining the attack order of a given sector. Outside of the obvious Feds first then empty ships after that?

All I can say is read the logs since the game began. Notice the players making announcements like:
"Orion Blastar made an announcement:
Using ATTAC 4.1.7 visit http://www.tw-attac.com/ for more details."
Or bust planets, or get attacked by figs, or do something to get it noted in the logs. These are the players with low player numbers.
