i see some guys lettin the ferrengi take planets from them on purpose could some one explain to me how to do this and why plz....thnx

Actually if you let them take a planet most likely they magicly fill it up with colos so you dont have to get them from terra and if its level 1 they will most likely even put cash and fighters on the planet for you to take whenever you feel like it.

Yes they do put figs, cash, and colos on it. But your or a corpie better stay in the citadel the whole time they own it or you will have to fight to reclaim it. But Parking on the citadel leaves you in danger of other players killing you. Also, in order to do this the planet has to be in Ferrengi space. Unless its Ferrengal then they will try to claim it wherever you put it if they can find it.
Last note, Ferrengi take a very very long time to fill the planet up with those things.

so they will take the planet as long as it is in ferrengi air space unless its ferrengal..so you just sit in the citadel the whole time? do you start out in the citadel also? and thnx for the help i appreciate it

1. Ferrengi will claim a planet that you leave in their space, but ONLY if it is in their space.
2. Accept in the case of Ferrengal itself, they will seek out and try to take it no matter where it is at.
3. If you leave a lvl 2 or higher citadel planet in their space and they claim it and start populating and putting on figs and cash, you would have to fight through their figs on the planet to get it back from them. UNLESS you have someone sleeping in the citadel who can come in and reclaim the planet since they are already on the planet and would not have to fight the planet figs to take it.
This works because Ferrengi won't evict you from their citadel, they are not that smart.
But it DOES leave you in high danger of being nailed by the next joe shmo who finds the planet and evicts and kills you or blows the planet up all together.

Not only Ferrengi, but Gold Aliens can do the same thing. I should know =) Its fun when the Borg make 500 mil a day and leave that and a million fighters on a lvl 1 planet....
