If I warp a planet with a lvl 6 citadel into an enemy base, when will my quasar fire? If he lifts off from his planet or when my interdictor prevents him from leaving the sector?

Im pretty sure it will only fire when they try to warp out of the sector. Of course you have set the q cannon to fire in the sector.
also I would make sure I had fighters in all the adj. sectors to keep the pod from getting away.

If they are out of the game, the find time they lift off after entering the game, the cannon will fire. Other than that, they have to try to move. Surrounding the sector with figs won't achieve anything, the pod will go to the previous sector from a cannon blast no matter what.

If they warp in the cannon will fire on them. most people will not warp into a sector that has a l6 planet in it. If they do they will probably fire a photon in first then move in, this will dampen the cannon, or if they have a warpable planet they will warp the planet in and in that case the cannon will not fire on them.

So long as you have at least 200 shields on a planet, a photon will not affect it.

Ok that makes no sense... He said if "they" had a toll fig in his sector, could they twarp to it and would the cannons fire.
Answer Yes, if they managed to get a fig into your sector, they could have one of their corpmates twarp to it and they would in fact be fired upon by your q-cannons...
*Unless* they warped in a planet. When your enemy lifts off from the planet they have warped into your sector, they are not affected by mines, limpets, or quasar cannons in this same sector.

Word! It's always best to take a planet with you when you're even thinking about invading. Ok maybe not when you're thinking about it, but it's best to take one. That way if you get Photoned you can just land and warp to safety. Also it's good cause you have a nice supply of fighters (you should!) on your planet. I usually take a maxed out H Level 6. So if you manage to get a fig in one of their sectors and Twarp your planet in you can interdict anyone who tries to leave. Also I noticed that there are a lot of people who stick most to all of their fighter out in space at the front of their bubble. This is bad cause someone can just photon in, get to the back of your bubble and take it all out. Keep the figs on the planets. And a few out in the sector to warp to. If your planets are all filled up on figs it either time to start a new plaet or you can stick the extras in the air. Blah I think I'm off subject....Blah
