well, in attempting to research something i came across something.
if you have 8 or less ports in the game, the star dock will not be created and everything other than the first 3 class 0 ports will be a class 8. if u make 9 ports you will have your 3 class 0's 1 class 9 and the rest class 8, at 10 ports you have 3 c0's, 1 c9, 1 c2, 1 c3, and the rest 8's. (maybe at 9 its the same as 10.. i dont recall) but anyway, my question is, is there a percentage of how many of each port that is created in any given game? i see that tedit lists them from 0-9-1-2-3 etc... so if anyone knows how to script and write tedit scripts, or if anyone just plain knows the facts im interested in learning the %'s of ports that are created or if it becomes somewhat static with more ports with a small random variable. anywho, thanks

well, did a test with max ports at 4k ports and 800 ports and they came out the exact same(obviously the 800 port %'s were slightly smaller). heh. so appearantly with only a few ports its signifigantly differant than regular port density.
class 1=20%
class 2=20%
class 3=20%
class 4=10%
class 5=10%
class 6=10%
class 7=5%
class 8=5%
(all rounded up, the 3 class 0's and 1 class 9 make up the tiny percentages that were rounded) the more ports you have, obviously you will get much closer to the #'s i show)
there always seems to be slightly more class 8's than class class 7's
my 80 port test showed like this:
class # of ports
0 3
9 1
1 14
2 14
3 14
4 7
5 7
6 7
7 5
8 7
it confirms the other patterns i've seen and explains why maybe there is so many class 0's to start with when u have 10 and less ports.
it doesnt explain WHY it is, just that it IS. heh.

Your percentages are correct.

It's good to reasearch it on your own Slim. Then you know for sure its true, rather than relying on someone else's findings.
Nice work...

Heat Sink has a very good point. I made my site in part because I was tired of not knowing the answers to my questions, and nobody else seemed to know them either, or weren't telling.
I encourage anyone to do more research! The more you know the better. Just remember to share it
