Currently, EIS is not planning to add any new features or implement any suggestions in TW version 3.x. However, any requests should be posted here for consideration in future releases. Please do not post feature requests and submissions elsewhere.

How about an option to copy your explored sector and ports into corp members' computers? So when they do a CIM, they have the same data that you do? It would make it easier than sharing text files, TWX files, etc by email, ICQ, etc. Sometimes ICQ send does not work, or someone is using Trillian and the IM send does not work right, etc. It would be a benefit to being in a corp, verses being a solo player.

It would be nice if future versions of TW have a ship garage option in planet citidels. Maybe something we can buy for a ship to park it on a planet? I know someone else posted this elsewhere, but it is such a good idea that I'd thought I'd repeat it. Ships can clutter up space, and it would make it easier to move a bunch of ships all at once. Maybe make a parking limit on the planet?

How about a turns bank? Where you can place your extra turns into a bank for use later? This would be good for players who cannot play every day. Just log in, deposit your turns, and log out. Then when you are free, take some out when you need them. Can't have more than the max turns per day at a time on the player. Maybe also limit the amount they can deposit into the bank?

If it expands to over 20K sectors, please try to add in an extra class 9 and two class 0 ports so they are easier to get to. Nothing as bad as moving 50+ warps or more to get to buy more figs and shields.

Please do something about the Alien fig hits. They trip over the same fig 40 times in a row or more before killing the fig. Can they maybe kill the fig or find a different sector to warp into?

If over 1M in messages, can the messages be archived so the player can view them later? Give them a "Your messages were so large, they were archived." then give a computer option to view them later. This might fix the mail bug problem.

Here are some ideas that I sent to JP that I would like to see implemented in a furture version of TW. Just thought that I would share!

1.) I think that implementing Planatary Cloaking Devices would be very cool, and would help make games that would last longer. It could be a feature that could be turned ON/OFF in Tedit by the sysop, maybe have it be another level of Citadel construction. With this players could either pay like $250K for the feature each time they used it or else it could run off of products on the planet. Just a thought but I think that this would be WELL received by the players of TW

2.) Also, it would be nice to have the ability to build Defensive Platforms around your planet, sort of like the Golan Defense Platforms used in the Star Wars Universe. You could have fighters set to Defensive or to Offensive, maybe some set to both. Also the platforms could have the option of having a Quazar Cannon on board, power would be determined by the amount of fuel ore on hand and you could also have the option of having it shipped automatically up from the planet (% per day) Also another feature could be a repair dock on the platform, where you ship was repaired slowly, al little each day! (for a small cost)

3.) Another ideas would be to have the option of turning on "Fleets" (ON/OFF) feature for the sysop. Where you could have...say up to 5 ships in a Fleet! Set to either Defense or Offense, and of course if you moved the whole fleet throughout the Universe the turn rate would have to be HIGH! One thing with this is that you would only be able to have a set number of a particular ship in the Fleet! (this would probably require the implementation of several new ship classes, Frigates, Corvettes style ships (aka Star Wars), Fighter Transports etc.)

I would like to see a photon sheild for ships. It would be very expensive. Only availible on certain ship types. A one time shield and a ship could carry a limited amount. It would protect both from an enemies photon and your own ie hiting nav haz. It would not make photons inefective but make things more interesting I think.

How about return photon fire? If someone shoots a ptorp at you and you carry one, it can launch one back at the sector that fired at you?

Also a planet ptorp return fire, if someone launches a ptorp at one of your shielded planets, it can launch another one back at the sector that fired it. Or better yet, make a level 7 citidel that can launch missiles at would be attackers.

Just a note...both of these are already possible with them current setup. I assume you are asking for an AUTOMATIC response, but even that can be done with a faitly simple script methinks.

Yes a script would do the job, you can't expect the game to play itself WITHOUT the use of scripts...however...if you get hit with a ptorp, do you not loose your turns? And would not be able to fire back.

Sounds like a good idea but that would only increase the slaughter of the weaker players by the more powerfull players...comes down to..who has the best cashing scripts to make the most money to be able to afford them. And if they were made cheap...why bother having photons at all.

Honestly, it would be best to debate in another forum. The idea behind this thread is to have suggestions and feature requests in a central location. Keeping the thread clean and easy to read improves the chances of your request being noticed.

The thing I would like to see most is a larger universe. Maybe leave the initial 20k like it is and go up by 5k increments from there to say 50k and then 10k increments from there to 100k with that being the max. Have 2 class 0 ports per 20k and 1 stardock per 50k. That means for a 100k sector game you would have 2 stardocks with 10 class 0 ports. Or at least make it sysop selectable to have up to 2 stardocks and up to 10 class 0 ports available in a game. That should make the game setup script scream at the sysop trying to sort that out.

The other thing is the Alien AI, I would love to see the alien races able to do anything and everything that the players are able to do, including t-warping ships and planets, building more planets but only in thier own nebula, building and upgrading ports, p-torping enemies, attacking intelligently or capturing a players ship, or even ability to change ships like if they capture yours.

i would like to see maybe a different aspect added to red play. blues have fed ships and commisions and fedspace, reds have the underground and can rob and steal. granted, i think most would agree it balances out as they both have advantages and disadvantages, but maybe have like an evil stardock, like a "Mercanary Base" or something that is cleared just like fed, but is not patroled by feds but instead maybe those infamous "rogue mercanaries" heh. or even the gay ferrengi, heh. maybe have it so on the red dock u can do something unique that i have yet to think of.. hehe ill get back to you on this.. maybe others can expand on this

That would be a great place to buy alien only ships. This could be sysop config, for any alien race. Ferrengi, Cardassian, Klingon etc.

This would great in a 50k universe. Say it is 50, 60, or 70 hops form Terra

What if resouces had different costs there too? Like holo scanner, or warp drive? Or technology that you can't buy anywhere else? Like a cloaking device that you can move in? or super photons that require a planet to have thousands of shields to protect it.

How about a working death limit [?]
Where 5 = 5 .. and your done game like an auto #SD# at the limit.

Also maybe , Corp locking .. where once you start a corp or joined one , you can not be removed or drop from corp to save others from your mistake in alinment shift.

At the red sd I would like to see where you could customize an ISS you capture with a new computer that fools the Feds and an evil player can use it. And have a 1-2% failing rate to make it interesting. Also Retro fit featuers to certain ships as stock colts for more holds, holo-scanner twarp, and/or less tpw. You would only be able to do say 1-2 items per ship. Choices like twarp or less tpw. More holds or More Sheilds, etc.
