I apologize for the apparent lack of interaction of myself or JP in the support forums lately. JP has had some hardware issues as well as being tied up with another project and I have been quite busy as well. Even though you haven’t seen many posts lately from us it does not mean that we are not in the background working when we can on the current projects for EIS and the Support Forums. Please let me assure you the support for this game is not being phased out, and that includes the forums. Development on the current version is however on hiatus until such a time that JP and myself have time to get back to it. What this means is that while a release for the 3.x version is NOT on the schedule for the immediate future the game is not finalized and there will be another release at some point. We feel that the game is sufficiently stable and playable in its current release to allow for this time.
There are a couple of announcements that I would like to also take this opportunity to get out.
First:
The support forums will be down in the next couple of days (most likely Sunday) for a code and database update. The reason for this update is 2 fold, the first reason is to add features and new security to the support forums, the second reason is a re-write of the polling system for the upcoming Annual Trade Wars Awards.
Second:
The support forums and teamEIS lost a valuable member in the form of Lisa Wilson (aka Rave) not to mention a close friend. While it would be impossible to replace her as a whole, some of the duties that she performed for teamEIS are in need of someone to take over. We are currently looking to fill the spot of Support Moderator for the forums; this position basically entails answering and directing support questions and topics within the forums and Moderating the technical Support Forums. This position requires a very good working knowledge of not only the TWGS application but Game Play and GameOp functions as well. If you are interested in this position please email teamEIS@eisonline.com

My question is as follows:
Since John is MIA, and appears to be having hardware problems, what do the several of us (at least 3 by my count, totaling $240) do about getting our codes for TWGS that we've paid for?
It's getting a bit ridiculus here. Do I have to persue Paypal's policy on non receipt of paid for merchandise?
If he was moving, he should have left the respoonsibility of generating codes with someone who was available.

My take on it is that he was supposed to be back home on the 10th. Now last time I moved that still left me with an entire house to unpack and set up again and if John is doing this himself then his computer is prolly still in a box. Cut the man some slack, he has never ripped anyone off yet.

waiting patiently 9 days now..
no worries no rush..
moved too many times to not understand the , um, fun involved.
feel free to issue codes to the cranky people first.
i remember well the "wait 6 to 8 weeks for delivery" for special orders
2 weeks i can deal with easily.

Well, I have been waiting about 8 days now. The 6-8 weeks thing is mostly for products that ship, not things that can be handled over email. I will continue to wait (as if I have a choice). It just feels like I have been forgotten. No auto-replies on emails I send him. no nothing in the way of any response at all.
I hear tell that he has never ripped anybody off, but since I have never dealt with him before, I have no personal experience in this area.
He should have given somebody else the task of taking care of this while he was gone. I cannot setup my TWGS server at all until I get the code.
You would think that if he we going to be gone much longer he would at least have modified the front page with a new announcement.
So Frustrating.

Hey Rick,
Any possibility of some feedback so we know you are at least reading these posts and hopefully trying to do something about it for us faithful EIS fans...I have many people waiting for my site to open up, and 1000 sectors with nothing but an escape pod (trial version) just doesnt seem to do it for them...hehehe...Hope to hear something back soon...
