I think this may have been mentioned before and if so...why hasn't it been fixed because it is a rather major bug.

While invading, a cannon doesn't fire, I assume it didn't have any actuall shields on it and was dampened by my photon or the canon just wasn't on. A few minutes later I come to sector again....again with a photon...only this time the planet hits me for 400k sector blast. All members of the opposing corp are dead/offline etc....and so did not log in and put shields on or adjust the cannon.

WTF?

This has happened to me twice on 2 different servers the past few days. Once on Traherns Tavern and once on Diamond Express.

I remember reading something about the fuel ore not updating untill someone lands on the planet. But the sector blasts WERE going steadily down untill all of a sudden....boom.

I've lost more than a few ships to that bug myself. As soon as you can get a ship into the sector, land, then abort the landing at the planet # prompt. This will recharge the fuel on the planets but it will cost you a lot less than draining the cannons all the way then having them recharge to full power. Once you're into the sector you can overload the sector with planets and let extern collisions soften the sector up for you. It's also a good idea to have a second ship within transport range so you can transport out in case there's an active planet IG.

I thought the bug that was discussed had something to do with rogue planets, not planets owned by an active corp. I've slept since the posts though.

You see it mostly with rogue planets. But it can also happen if the planet's owner hasn't logged in in a while. Depending on how fast the fuel is produced, you may or may not notice it with owned planets.
