Ok a question for anyone who can resize Ansi file in trade wars. I'm setting up a bbs, adding some custom ships to the game, but the pic's are not showing up correctly. they seem to be too large and part of the pic is going off the screen, any ideas how to fix this or what program I can use to fix them?

I'd have to have more details, but it sounds like you are not sticking to the guidelines. A generally deployed ship is limited to 16 lines (I use 15) and a unique ship (one viewed at the Librarium) is limited to 23 lines (I use 22).

Also, you are limited in width. I posted an entire walk through on how to size your ansi files on my web site, on the Ansi Download page.

If you are using the draw, make sure that you have at least 1 space to the left of your picture and at least 2 or 3 spaces to the right, that your lines do not exceed 16 (or 23) and you should be good to go. I do recommend you reading my tutorial, though. It's up to you.

By the way, I'm just throwing this out there for you guys. I've started to make un named, un defined ship ansi files that you can customize to suit yourself. This takes a tremendous amount of work out of it (but you will still have to match the stats in the drawing with your stats of your ship). I will be making the ships available for download and use very soon on my web site.

Here are two examples of what I'm doing.
