Well, I guess I will have to reply to this one unfortunately, I didn't want to read your ignorant rants, but I guess its warranted for liars. What is the point of helping to run a server if not to play on a game you designed. Intelligent and honest people don't edit their own stuff, as anyone would have seen, I'm a mediocre player.

Next, Our league game is strictly by the rules. I will not be playing in this game AT ALL. Neither will any of the other sysops attached to UltimateTW.com.

OK, I will bite. If there are no posted rules and someone is banned for "not making the game fun for others" then there is a problem. The game is called trade wars, not trade nice, or even trade peace. It is a killing game, otherwise it would not have ships that can shoot other people. If you want a game to be played "nice" post that it is a newb game and real players shouldnt log in. That is the best way to keep the "mean" players out of your game. If it is advertised as an open game then you should expect to be shot at no matter what your ability or your size in the game. Unless I hear a different story this is another board I will keep away from. Thanks for sharing Uncle Sam!

True, and I agree wholeheartedly. But here is the where the problem comes in. We all as players started this game 2 weeks or so ago, and have worked hard. I in fact had started a war with a friend on that server last night. It was a good, kind of mean game. Heres where it makes it no fun. Last night, they logged on, ran some busting script all night, probably while they slept, and then killed everyone and destroyed everything we had worked for two weeks for. That is UNFAIR, and is not how you play a game. The rules will be posted shortly, I guess we should have just kept our fun server to ourselves until then.

Scripts are impossible to police. If a team is running some busting script while I am in a game we are gonna eventually find them and handle it or die trying. Hiding in a sector is not an option if it is an unlimited game. You have to get out and get busy. However, with 2 weeks already gone in game there should have been no way someone should be able to beat you. Be more aggressive and kill peeps early. 2 weeks into a game is well past time to start killing everyone, even new people to the game. I understand your point, but to ban someone for that is wrong in my opinion.

yea, I would agree, but, I was actually directed too. I had the Box owner on the phone, and he was watching the conversation, and was disgusted with how they were talking to everyone. So, even if I had voted against it, it still wouldn't have mattered. I hate banning people, its a lame move to have to take.

First I'd like to address your grammar, you don't take a move, you make one. Taking a move would be considered posession of that move, which in turn you don't have. However, you do have the weight of the decision you MADE. Every sysop has to ban someone, when my server was up I averaged 8 bans a week, for the first 4 months, these were dupes, exploiters, cheaters, blah blah blah. I NEVER banned someone for attitude. Wanna be a dick? Your perrogative, not my problem.

My problem is when a sysop, such as yourself.. Feels he/she has the power to do anything they like on their server. By all legal rights, you do. By all moral laws, your a fruit cake. I played 2 games on my server, I can honestly say I used TEDIT on one of them. I've been a sysop of BBS's, Servers, Networks, Gaming Servers, and finally 2 TWGS systems.. I was tempted and knew the consequences, so we all know you cheated.

On the other hand, you claim you didn't cheat.. Fine, give us the server logs. As I said earlier, this isn't a courtroom, you are hereby found guilty, until proven innocent. Your sentance will be carried out as follows:

You will not eat green eggs and Ham
You will follow the rules and regulations of all "dickhead" players that give you an order

As for the cheating, again, thats always what children cry when they are removed from playing with others. Well, if you can't play well with others, you should be isolated. Anyone that plays on that server knows that I do not cheat. But, after all this, I will be playing only in a game that is blocked off to anyone that doesn't want to be a part. You can call cheater all you want, but that still doesn't explain why I had less than anyone else in the game, maybe I edited myself in a bunch of E probes? Come on now, you can tell when someone is cheating, and thats not it, not even close. I could be wrong, but I believe a busting script is a planet busting script. You take a red to the stardock when nobody else is online, and get about 1M or more in credits. Then run the script and it buys gtorps and adets and creates planets and then destroys (or busts them). You get like 100 exp for each planet created and busted, IIRC. So bust 10 planets and get 1000 exp. Bust 50 planets and get 5000 exp, enough to start to SSM/SST with. Bust 75 planets and you get 7500 exp, enough to SDT with. The only cost to you is the cost of the gtorp and adet devices based on the game edit settings. You will get that money back as soon as you run a red script.

75 xp per planet (25 to create, 50 to destroy)
cost of 35000 credits

also, you get -11 alignment per planet if you are red (-10 to create, -1 to destroy)
