This game is not going to be too far off from the original Trade Wars concept in general terms, but it is also going to have a 3D tactical aspect. I have asked Realm Interactive (apparently the current owners of the name "Trade Wars") if I may somehow work out a deal with them to obtain the rights to use that name, since the strategic and "economic" aspects were derived from the same game concepts. I have recieved absolutely no reply from them.

Apparently they bought the rights to Tradewars, and then dumped their Tradewars project and started up a new one. An RPG named Exarch that has nothing to do with Tradewars.

Please let us know what they do with the Tradewars licensing, keep us posted.
