Well I've downloaded the TWX Proxy 2.00, and while waiting for the reg codes I was curious who has tried out the new porxy and what is is like. Has anyone started writing additional scripts like with previous versions, and if so where might one obtain these scripts. Other than that I'm looking forward to learning how to use the new proxy.

Supg has posted a few V2 compliant scripts at http://www.scripterstavern.com, including his WorldSSM that uses CN9 (ALL KEYS). Also Alexio is updating his site at http://www.geocities.com/alexio_scripts/. He still has only his v109 scripts online - check back for V2 scripts later.

As for V2 in general, there are a few glitches, and you'll have to tweak all your scripts a little. (i.e. remove "echoChars" from any script)

I have already noticed some of my scripts that check the TWX database for info run MUCH faster. With 1.09 I would run em and hit 100% CPU for a solid minute. Now I top off at 25% on CPU and it finishes in 5 seconds. Also loading your figlist from the "G" prompt into an array or file is much faster, using Static Arrays.

The only downside is no Status Windows yet - so it's a lil hard to track how much money your making. The Window command will be activated later.

Until status windows are implemented, you could add a few lines of code to pause for 5 seconds every 100 times you port (or some other frequency), and echo some info to the screen.

So far I am very impressed with the new proxy. I received my reg codes in my email this afternoon and have been running ever since. I really like that each script has more options that the previous version. I have another question though. How exactly do I move my old dtabases from v1.09 to 2.00? I exported my sector info and bubble data, but is there a way to move the entire database?

Other than that I would like to compliment Xide highly for his hard work to develop this new version of TWX. I feel that he did a wonderful job.

On the download page, xide said "This version is not compatible with any 1.0x databases."

Goes to show how little I pay attention...maybe thats why I get stomped so often in this game. Oh well I can always start over with my databases.
