 space islands??

here's an idea i had that might put an interesting twist on a game, what do you think of this:

before opening a game, the sysop could locate several dead end tunnels around the galaxy and using tedit, cut off the last sector of the tunnel so there are no warps into it. then several clues could be placed around the universe revealing the location of the "island" sectors. the first player to locate one would be able to blind warp into it, provided it's competely void, and once he drops a planet no one else would be able to enter. if you wanted, you could even make some of the islands 2 or 3 sectors.

any thoughts?
