I have heard from a few players, and seen the logs that they had severl million figs in there head sector. An alien comes in and kills a few or gets hit by a few and destroyed. Of course there are planets there above the figs. The problem is that now all of a sudden they have on 50K figs in that sector.
Could anyone explain this to me?
Thanks

It is a known bug. Something to do with an alien with more then 25,000 fighters on thier ship. I don't know the exact details but there was a posting around here somewhere on this topic.

I know this is not necessarily very helpful, but I have Gold Aliens turned on in my game and have hit player sector fighters with 25k+ on their ships and have had no problems so far. Any kind of pattern you can see in the logs that might help ?

It wasn't happening on my board at all, but then all of a sudden the problem started to appear. I am not sure why.

If I remember correctly. The bug deals with the figs in the player's sector(s). Not the figs on a player's ship.
If the player places 1m of figs in a sector that has a planet. And when a gold alien comes along. It will attack the figs. But, instead of having the 1m minus the amount lost. Due to the attack. The figs will drop down to 50k.
As the actuall cause of this. I don't beleave that was stated by JP or Rave. Only that it was going to be fixed sometime in the future.

Wabbit you are exactlly right on where the problem is. I am glad to hear that it is going to be fixed. I have tried that even on a test server and can reproduce this time and time again.
THanks for the help

And Chris I am one of those people on your server who has had that problem a few times Lost 3 mil figs in 1 day. So I learned my lesson. Dont leave figs in alien space.

It isn't just my server, I have had this problem even playing other servers. The place that I have this problem the most or that most concerns me is my head sector. If the gold Moths then you loose figs. I lost 12 mil or went from 12 mil to 50 K when gold mothed. I was even online at the time.. It reported that the damage from that sector destroyed gold with 13146 battle points.
Anyway, I am glad to see that this is going or atleast should be fixed.

I was fooling around yesterday in a test game (locally on computer) and had 12 million figs destroyed in gold alien space, and a single alien (apx 296k figs, 45d/45o) managed to kill up to 900k at a time. About five minutes of attacks occured then suddenly they killed all the fighters. The total destroyed never added up to 12 million, two planets were in the sector, with no defenses activated towards the sector. One player ship on planet. Single alien in sector. Kinda thought it odd at the time, but this topic likely answers that su****ion. Games set inactive so I'll narrow it down.
