I'm running a TWGS Gold game with about 15 active players, its 3 days old and was aged 100 days prior to someone logging in.

Today when I logged in I looked at the daily log and saw this:

Ferrengi Larog was attacked by the Ferrengi's fighters!
Ferrengi Larog's Dreadnought was destroyed by the Ferrengi's fighters!

How is this possible?

Well, I'm no TW expert, but, I do think that the internal Ferrengi are different from the Gold Alien Ferrengi. So, if you have both active, I believe they will be considered un-allied, and they will thus attack each other....again, I think.

Simple, really. When you BigBang a game and turn on Gold aliens, the default internal Ferrengi's homeworld and sector are still in the game (you have to go in and manually remove them if you don't want them in the game). In other words, that gold Ferrengi recklessly ventured into a sector with 8,000 offensive Ferrengi fighters owned by what would have been the internal Ferrengi if they had been activated.

At least, this is the most likely explanation.

As Rave said , this is due to two races of ferrengi running on your server . In game type # and see all races.
You probly have 2 ferrengi listed ,
thats the problem unless you want them both running.

I'm hopping the finnal touches on twgs 3.11 will include something to
excluce internal alien planet at bang as well and a fix for tera to be whatever it was before re-bang !!

"Ferrengi" covers the race. The plural of Ferrengi is Ferrengi.

The stock ferrengal will still be in the game .. game is 103 days old .. it's ran for 3 days .. so there are like 11k ferrengi figs in sector .. I can easily see how a gold ship could be destroyed in there
