Good news. I have created a practice game for this New Years tournament. It will use the Hell on Earth edit, and all starting product has been removed. We will also start with 10,000,000 colonist, with a reproduction rate of 70,000 per day. Everything else will be true to the original edit, except. of course, the names have been changed to protect the innocent. Practice game can be found in slot Z on my server. The telnet information should be below. I would appreciate any feedback on how I can improve the edit to get it ready for the tournament. Many thanks in advance for your contribution and feedback. I have also attached the TWA to this message.

I have also attached the TWA to this message. My suggestion is to have enough cols that everyone gets a fair share but not so many we are still madly colonizing weeks into the game. I think in a tournament we want a result and encourage people to something else than just colonise. So trying to pick a value that promotes action is important, i.e. we don't want everyone turning into turtles and having unstopabble bases. My suggestion is cols should run out after 4-5 days; after that they go to base regen. How many is that? well depends how many people turn up and some rough calcs... At a guess about 3-4 million?? Just a suggestion and I feel like I need to expand on my thoughts on this one.. as cols at the start of the game is really important or balance. Cheers |

This tournament is canceled to have the rematch of A Subzero Christmas. It really pleases me that everyone enjoyed it enough to want to have another go. I will use this edit in a later tournament. I quite enjoy throwing a holiday theme on popular edits, so you can expect to see them often. |
