Would it be possible to prevent two corps from having the same corp name as is currently allowed?

Also would be nice to join a corp by the corp name instead of (or in addition to) entering the number for the corp. Eliminating duplicate names would be required for this.

I think that's a good idea. I wonder if there'd be any opposition to making that standard behavior. I'm sure there are some who think that duping your corp name is an honorable and legit tactic. I have no idea why that's allowed, when so much effort is made to avoid it for user names (and I'm tightening that up as well).

While you're looking at this, how do you feel about getting rid of the whole corp password system and replacing it with corp invites?

Maybe as an option. I have some goals for a few Corp options, like making Corps more static, to address some of the tactics to circumvent Corp alignment rules and such.
