Another feature that would be handy to see built in (as I'm working through my games again) as I use V'Ger Sysbot script to do this, is to have a way for a sysop to post messages that will go to all users, in all games, or a select game, via fedcom, and post it in the logs as well.

I like to blast an announcement the day before I bang a game (or all of them) or let players know more than 5 minutes in advance that I'm preparing to take the system down for whatever reason. Or maybe for rule clarification.

To be able to do this via the ingame mechanics rather than the bot and scripts would be extremely helpfull. I realize I can post a fedcom announcement in the games currently, but to be able to do so without having to actually log in to each game is what I'm looking for.

I have a script that sends mail to all users in each game, making the broadcasts on fed comm would be easy but if players are not on line it would be missed. But it would be nice it if was part of the game.

Sounds like we need the option to send the message to fedcomm, and/or email.

I'd like to see it in the logs for sure as well. Logs seem to be the ultimate verification of WHEN something was sent or changed.

I actually started to create this system a few months ago just based on my own need for that functionality. I got pulled into some other work and it got shelved. But I agree, it's a very nice feature that I intend to add. And it will be very flexible.

'RP is God' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.

BTW, That's a quote from Futurama :)
