Ship movement has slowed to 30 sec per sector or twarp.

Everything else seems to be fine, I can haul and move colos, export ships, talk on fed com just fine, it's moving that's painfully slow.

There's a possibility that I've located the cause of the intermittent long pauses, but on my first attempt to fix the problem, I actually made the long pauses more consistent. Unfortunately, I didn't realize it right away and the bad update was online for several hours during which the game was basically unplayable. I did get a fix uploaded last night at about 11:30 local time, just before extern.

Since that update was posted, I've seen one log entry for an unresponsive game. Crosby was sitting at a warp path y/n prompt, then logged in on another node to kick that game offline. But I added an internal diagnostic to test whether data is being sent and received, and that seemingly locked game was sending and receiving data fine, meaning any loss of IO was external to TWGS. The last input received from Crosby was at 2:09:51 am, and the relog occurred at 2:10:37 am, within less than a minute of the last IO, so if there was a loss of connection, TWGS didn't have time to gracefully shut down on the next "are you there" that would have occurred at 2:10:51 am.

Aside from evidence in the logs, is there a general feel that the occasional pauses have gone away? Fingers crossed that I've finally fixed this last major issue and we can proceed with the release.

So far so good his morning. Let's give it at least 24 hours.

We could use more players, seems corp 2 quit last night. Apply to join an exsisting team if you don't want a late start.
