i would like to see limpets turned off durring photon wave.
this would allow solo players in particular (but corps as well) to do expionage work deep into enemy territory.
add the already mentioned beaming cit to cit and some pretty interesting things can happen.
photon under 10 sectors, build a lv1 planet deep in enemy zone, beam players to the action.
sounds cool

also, might as well have the mine disrubpers, destroy limpets as well.
At the moment you can not destroy limpets other than scrubbing.... that seems silly and not "with reality".
Players use limpets to trigger ptorp scripts... we should be able to destroy them from an adjacent sector, just like armids.

True but you can do an exit/enter and it grabs a new one each time you enter the game. But in some games that have a Time Limit and a relog penalty it can run you out of time for the day. Plus if you have a corpie always have 1 sector in your base that has each other personal limps so you can scrub when you jump so as not to give away base location.

sure thing Toyman, but i would not want to sit in sector doing the exit enter.... your most likely going to exit / exit.
hehehe

Yeah, in TWGS limpets fall off quite easily. In old HVS TW they can only be scrubed at SD.

ya i miss that. you could only carry one limpet so u would put ur own limpet on your ship and you were effectively prevented from being limpeted by an enemy.

Well, not your own, it had to be a personal corpie's limpet. But yeah, those held on with superglue! LOL

hehehe...

you guys seem to have a personal love for that old tech.

How about making a comment on the original post.
and talk about both ptorps and limps.
Whether to keep them as they are, or as i say make the natural improvements and bring them into the modern day with improvements.
