the "Warp length" setting either need to auto adjust to sector size or readjust at the end to reflect the longest possible course. Otherwise we end up with course lengths of 45 and warp courses of 51.

I banged 2 games with warp length of 45 and 30k sectors. Condition was there for both games.

Nod.

Between 20001 and 30000, 60 hops seems optimal.

Between 30000 and 40000, 80 is probably best.

If we ever get to 60k, 120 is probably necessary.

Ex:
Optimal = (universe size / 1000) * 2

With a minimum of 20 hops.

That way a 30k is 60, 40k is 80, etc, etc...

Sounds like you need to set them up higher, one of the 30k sector games I have went over 200 warps to reach destination. Routed through 2 or 3 large bubbles and avoid ferrengul. Just rebanged it to 255 sector max warps see how that goes. Lots of 40-50/more sector length warps, seem to be required when their are not many entrances into the bubbles.

I have already agreed to go to a 60 warp length for the upcomming HHT BUT i have been unable to re-create a 30l universe with orphaned Sectors. Could you post or provide a Random seed that will infact create a universe with orphaned sectors of any type? I do not disbelieve that these orphaned sectors exist however in 6 bangs i haven't been able to recreate a universe with orphaned sectors.

Black Hole = A sector or cluster of sectors that have a one way leading in but no sectors leading out.

Orphaned Sector(s) = A sector or cluster of sectors that have no path into them and one or more paths out.

Worm Hole = A sector or cluster of sectors that have a one way sector leading in and a one way sector leading out and no other points of entry or exit.

Divided Universe = A sector or cluster of sectors that no entry point and no exit point.

Note: You can not access Orphaned Sector(s) or a Divided Universe

Edit: Sorry but the term is not "Divided" Universe, but "Parrallel" Universe. I was corrected on that. I knew it didn't sound right but couldn't think of the correct term.
