I have a few small requests for changes in TEdit.

In my opinion, it would be easier to navigate TEdit if all menues required pressing ENTER after the other keystrokes. I frequently enter the keystroke for the menu, followed by ENTER, which takes me into the menu and immediately back out. Yes, completely my fault, but I bet others do the same thing.

To edit a port for a given sector, you have to enter <S> and the sector, then press <G> to edit the port there, then <Y>, for Yes I want to edit the port, then you have to retype the port number. At the least, could we have that changed so that you don't have to enter the port number, since there can only be one in a given sector?

Thanks,
+EP+

I'm not sure about the entry behavior, because a lot of people script TEDIT. I'd hate to mess stuff up for something trivial.

I was just using the port edit from sector and thinking how dumb that is. I assume you can edit any port from there, but why not default to the one that's there?

There are so many things I'd like to do to improve TEDIT but when you put it all together it's a pretty big project. Little changes here and there aren't bad, though.

Sure, I realize the first request is huge and unrealistic, but please take the request into consideration on any new menues you add. Having to press Enter after entering a selection is intuitive and the results are predictable ;)

But the 2nd request would fix the most unintuitive menu in TEdit that I frequently encounter.

Thanks for listening!
