Hey, Maniac. Thanks for the suggestions. Right now, the only changes for gameplay I want to consider are those that give gameops the ability to run a less script-heavy game mode. I think those are both decent suggestions, and they've actually both been considered. I even partially implemented fuel for ICs. But the consensus among players was that it wouldn't be an improvement, so I abandoned it.

About the beta server, the decision to move it from Thrawn's site wasn't because of any complaints by players, or even the fear of complaints, but because I didn't feel like the server was going to get the level of pounding it needs because of the connection speed. So I'm looking around for other options. Thrawn, I appreciate your effort.

JP, I expected a lot of people to post here and offer to beta your new TWGS but don't see it. My server should be back up and repaired by tommorrow I'm hoping. If you need a new test site I'd be happy and honored to help out.

Hey, RP ;)

Yeah, I think the problem is you can't run both a beta AND your normal server, so anyone who volunteers has to make a choice between the two. Nobody wants to close their server while the beta is running.

I'm actually talking to the guys I work with (21-6, game developers) about giving me access to their servers for a beta. If that doesn't pan out, I'd be very appreciative if you'd run the beta site, RP.

Eleq actually volunteered to run it as well, but didn't think his home connection was fast enough so he was going to run it on his employer's site. But I didn't want to risk getting him into any trouble with his boss, so I decided to look elsewhere.
