not sure if this is the best place..but here goes:

I stumbled into a game with a version 3.11.55 and have found it a bit like bizzarro world for tradewars, things are the same, yet subtle differences..

Is there a place/file that has the various versions updates listed?

laff, asked and answered:
http://www.eisonline.com/twgs/beta/
gives version updates

I guess I'll leave this up in case someone as simple as me searches for it...

on that note, i'll edit in this additional..rather than double post:
version 3.11.55 doesn't have the global that responds to a ascii 145 with a couple newlines and a
#145 and backspace....
as a result, many of the newer scripts written will hang waiting for a #145 & #8
Example from Dnyarri's citkilla:
Code:
:promptify
send #145
waitFor #145 & #8

so for .ts scripts, the prompt check can just be retooled, like the good ol' days.
.cts scripts will be a bigger problem, m()m bot comes to mind..

Hope this explains things to even one frustrated person..

heh heh don't be using any of the old bugs... I read about years ago... some sounded cool, but I would consider them cheating...

nod, I agree that bug use is cheating. I actually didn't think about using the old bugs, but rather that this may be a version for those boards that want to discourage script/helper use.

Is ironic that it takes someone who knows a bit about scripting to fix the .ts scripts to adapt to this version. So really, it would only discourage people who are 'script users' from playing.

Any specific bugs I should look out for? I actually think Tark (sysop) is working on changing the version soon...
