We have put the server thru its paces, tweaked settings and adjusted speeds to bring you one of the fastest TWGS servers around. I'm not sure if you're aware of it, because it's a relatively new setting, but the default ping emulation setting is 150 ms. So even if your players tend to have ping times < 100 ms, the actual ping they'll measure will never be less than 150 ms because TWGS will attempt to equalize player's pings and maintain that ping time. If you don't want to establish a minimum ping time, you can set it to 0 in your games. I personally feel that the best approach is to determine a common ping rate and set your ping emulation to that rate. That way there isn't too much of an advantage for those in the < 20ms range. It just levels the playing field a bit. |

It just levels the playing field a bit. Yes I have seen the default rate and have taken an average of the users normal pings, then set the emulation to just below that. |
