I see a few new truce rules
-- No use of Roach motels strategy during truce

how is this enforced?
and
how/what is considered a roach motel?

It seems to conflict with a couple other rules.

I think a roach motel is when you have a sector with nav haz/mines outside a sector that will pod you.. forcing you back into the sector with haz/mines.. consequently destroying your pod ????

Seems that this rules will be easily bent. Whats to say I have a cannon on a couple sectors deep in my bubble. And I have no cannons on (BUT I have mines/nav haz) in my door.
So -- the player will shoot thru the 1st sector of haz.. hit my 2nd deep sector with cannons.. bounce back and hit the haz/mines.

If you added a stipulation to the rule that you not allowed to have any mines/haz outside the "Front Door"..
also.. you could have a heavy cannon on 'inside' bubble and a light cannon in door (that would kill a pod) effectively the same as the situation described above.
Then.. the rule would read..
"""Only cannons on in front door sector and no mines/haz outside this sector."""

that would effectively protect the roach motel rule???


-- You can defend your home sector with everything (except interdicting)
including armid mines?? even though 1 rule states NO armid mines until end of truce?
maybe mines should be disallowed altogether during truce

Those changes are minor. Look at the "Do not run scripts that kick people offline" lol that means no turbosst and no ram's unlimited gridder. I think that he just doesn't understand what happens when 2 people try to drop a fig in the same sector at about the same time. I sent him the link to the forums that explains why it happens. I guess he decided to go with the n00bs explanation. (ie its a dastardly plot to interfere with others).

Those scipts were not designed to do that. I believe he is refering to the regridder scripts thats sole purpose is to kick someone out of a game.

I have ran both Turbo and wsst with up to 10 other players running the same or similar, and have never been kicked out of a game. Someone that runs a regridder is trying to do just that. Completly different story.

This is how I read the rule. But I may be wrong.

Hopefully he is referring to the regridder (YourIT) scripts.

If he plans on trying to stop cashing script. Hes gonna have a lot of time tied up in watching the server. Which I doubt he has.. cause he never responds anyway.

If for some reason he is talking about Anything that kicked you offline, cashers included, then he might as well shut down the server. Cause no one will play there.. other than noobs and those who dont know what a script is.
There is only 4 people there right now anyway. Well.. shows a couple games with the same people in it.

Jim,

I never run your it unless I am trying to kill someone. I do however run Rammars unfigged gridder and it will cause the bounce too.

That link is why it happens. Your It and gridders and SST just create the opportunity for the bug to occur.

Next time you are in a game and the opposing team is running sst, run Rammar's unfigged gridder and see if it doesn't happen to you.

Not arguing with ya Helix....lol I dont doubt your information. I think, however, the rule was for people deliberatly trying to kick one out of the game. I can see it happening as a bug, but it shouldent be all that often. If you get kicked out every 5 mins, it is probably someone doing it on purpose... (as far as I know, as I said, I have been in busy games nad have never experienced it.... If I am wrong, someone please correct me.)
