I will be banging a CLOSED Training game on Saturday December 20, 2008 @ 7 PM EST. If you are intersted in being a MENTOR or a TRAINEE leave me a private message with user name and password and I will insert you into the game. This will be a Subzero edit, 20,000 sectors - Unlimited turns - 10 to a corp (once in the game, you must join a corp) - Death Limit will be on, so teach them well..... Thanks |

This will be a Subzero edit, 20,000 sectors - 65K turns per day - 8 hour time limit - 10 to a corp (once in the game, you must join a corp) - will be a 7 day truce - Death Limit will be on. Thanks I understand a closed game , but a single corp of 30 or more would work better in training purposes .. because when its time , those that are ready for attack lessons will go to another corp for that. A time limit ? How will that work in the advantage of the trainers ? Truce ? this whole idea is based on trust of trainers/trainees .. no truce needed. Turns ? how does that help a noob learn new scripts ? Death limit ? again .. this is to help training ? Sorry to say , those settings cept the closed game SHOULD be your regular style games. This is what I suggested for Jim Dorsin , who has little key time. And I also said that eprobe delay would help if he only has 2 hrs key time in a 6 hrs limit game per day. Please maybe rethink both of these games and re-post or ICQ a seasoned vet SysOp like myself. |

(I believe) is the 'closed training game #A' the significance of this is that Destro will create several games with several different settings based upon what the specific trainers want to teach (hence training game A...then B...C and so on) and the students want to learn.... Its still in the early stages, so there is only 1 "closed game" and by closed, it is meant that those that wish to play that game... mentor and student, simply notify the sysop... If there are other specific games a mentor wishes to teach... please let the sysop know. I am sure if he has the room, he will be willing to make the game... maybe he can generate enough interest to bang a 'graduation' tourny consisting of 'students' playing against eachother...and 'mentors' advising from the sidlines?? just a thought... It would be a shame if a practice/training game posted as such were "won" in such a few days....lol there is a purpose to these games, and it isnt for sysops or other advanced players to dominate early on....lol (leave them for the beginers... as they were designed) JMO... but.. come on guys.. this is for the game... (JMO means (J)ust (M)y (O)pinion.... I speak of my own volition. The opinoins expressed are not necessarily those of any specific site or group.) |
