I'm going to run a kill fest this Saturday, 8/30/08 at 6pm EST. This is sort of like a death match, but it won't be 1:1 like a death match. All players that want to play will start off with a level 6 planet and the best ship, in a sector number of your choice. Anyone that wants to play, send me an ICQ (121004329) or have someone that uses ICQ sent me the following information.

1) Log in name. (There will be no alias allowed)
2) Password. (Pick something you can remember)
3) Sector number to start in. (Use a number that someone else probably won't use)

This will be unlimited turns and 5K sectors. Everyone will start with maximum figs and ore on the planets, and start with 1 million credits. I'm not going to give away anything about the edit, but there will be only 1 type ship to buy and that will be the starter ship. It will be 3:1 offensive odds and 2:1 defensive odds.
Note: The planets won't be invincable, they will hold only 1 million ore and 200k figs. Ships will hold 200k figs.
This edit will be easy for reds and blue to cash if it is needed.

I've set turns to 1 per day to allow ztm'ing. As soon as your account is created, you can log into the game. Note: You may have to log out to get turns when I change it to unlimited at 6pm EST. Also the only ship available does NOT carry a pod, 1 death limit means you are out if ship destroyed... Terra will have max regen, but will start with no colonists at the start of the game.

was a lot of fun..but hate to say it..we needed the pods.

My thoughts on the edit:
The planet holds too much ore IMO. 1M is more than enough to destroy the only ship in the game and since you can't moth, there is no way to invade one without eliminating yourself first. In theory someone could have just held up on their planet and waited for everyone else to die. Luckily we had a feisty bunch and that didn't happen!

I'll do this again next weekend, but the planets will hold only 800K ore and the ships will have pods.
