Game B is going to be banging & opening on 8/30/08. This game is for anyone who is interested in playing in a classic MBBS "door-style" game and can't devote too much time to it.
-4096 Sectors
-500 Turns per Day (7 days accumulation)
-3 Hour Daily Time Limit
New/Newer players are welcome, we have several people who will be playing their second game this time around. We had 14 pretty active players last time and are hoping to get even more this time.

If it wasn't for the lag (also known as ship delay) setting, it might be interesting.

I am a fan of older style games too with limited turns/time and longer running outcomes. But, I do agree with Prom here - that ship delay setting will probably keep me away.

I know some people aren't into Ship Delay, but my reason for liking it and using it is that it confers a genuine advantage on faster ships besides just using less turns -- you really _can_ outrun an ISS in a T'Khasi Orion -- which I think matters in games that are more about traditional-style manual play. If you're concerned about it taking forever to do things, I feel like I can definitely still burn through all my turns in short order even in a Colt. At least it's set to Quarter instead of something worse : ) - If there was a setting for "Ship Delay = Eighth" I would probably use it instead. Join us if you want...

I believe the advantage just goes away with a pdrop adjacent or a beam ptorp attack, but you are right in running - if the ISS didn't power with a single wave.
