I will be banging a new edit designed exclusively as an unlimited turn game. I'm not going into specifics, but I'm setting this game up to be a longer term game than most unlimited turn games.

I'll post bang time later in this thread.

This new edit is called Turbo Target.
The game will be in the Letter "D" spot
3 traders per corp, NO traders in fed space overnight, Ptorps at 2 seconds, NO fedsafe ptorps, 3 planets per sector, NO new player planets, and starting assets are 5000 figs, 30 holds, 100k credits.

Note: There are only 40% ports in this game and it has been aged 30 days, so cashing and staying fed safe will be hard.

My thoughts. Like all unlimited games its over now. To make it last longer, lengthen the cit times for the planets, use ships with less figs and higher defense odds. Make it more of a blue edit. As it was. I went red and I cashed until I had enough figs to kill everything moving.

I podded 1 red and a blue who just CBY'ed afterward. I could not let them get a start. Another red even said he was going to cash then kill, if I would just give him a chance. When I said that "IF I can, I will kill you", he CBY'ed without a fight. The blue invaded my planets twice and tried to kill me with my own cannon.

The edit would make a good deathmatch game but no way an unlimited will last a long time with active players in it.

Just my thoughts, thanks for the new game. You can bang it again as soon as I kill the last two players.

Yes, I seen the result. The problem is getting everyone that is going to play in at the bang. If one player or corp gets a substancial head start, it's almost impossible to have a long game. I'll rebang the game tomorrow at 6pm EST. The later start may get some more players in at the bang. Good game Cern, and for the record, I probably wouldn't let them get a start either if I had a head start in an unlimited turn game.

I will be there tomorrow.

Well Big D , I had a players request to make in an unlim game go slower.
So the game down long enough to upgrade planets to Lev 4 (several days).

His/her request was to put a time limit on the players.
As a result it did slow things down , made it that much harder for those with kill scripts
to keep killing new returning players that don't have those kill scripts.

Maybe try that for your next rebang.
I'm sure you will find its the only way to make an unlim game last over a few days.

Actually all you did was shift the balance of the game to the 4 man corp. That slowed it down alright
