Sounds like a DNS issue. If Prome had your DNS cached beforehand he could've gotten in regardless of a hose-up. On the other hand if ppl tried to connect w/o a recent cache and the DNS server was fubared then they'd have to use the IP.

My suggestion would be to post your server's IP addy and see whether ppl can connect to it or whether they're having the same problems.

Might be, there were three of us in the game, now only myself online. One is #SD#, and the other hung up on my figs running (I think) an AFK cash script and dropped connection. (Sing, kinda used a similar tactic to the one I used on your server to hang the 3rd player front and back -- hmm, prob get a lump of coal tomorrow).

Server seems to be running fine, my end is hanging up a bit due to some major downloads going on.

Yes, I agree. A person can be online forever using a redirect URL as long as they are disconnected. However once they are disconnected for some reason if the dns redirect isn't updated, they won't be able to reconnect. Do as Sing says and if a player can't connect to the redirect addy, let them try the direct addy to see if that solves the problem. It could be your dns update client isn't working right or that your dns server is having problems.

What is the CPC setting for your games? I am guessing it is a stock setting.
