I'm thinking about the way Weapon M will record fig hits. I'd like to know more about exactly what people mean by fig hits, and what information you think would be useful to record. It seems that "fig hit" usually refers to a trader or alien hitting your fighters. But it could also refer to a probe hitting your fighters. These will be treated as separate events for scripting purposes. But I'm thinking it might be adequate to combine them for historical purposes. I'm thinking of having the database record the date of the last fighter interaction in the sector, along with the entity that did the hitting, which could be you. Can you think of a compelling reason to record ship and probe hits separately, or to have separate records for your hits and enemy hits? I also considered keeping a running history of all hits, or just the last arbitrary number of them, but I'm concerned that it might bloat up the database in a very competitive gridding game. |

Reporting fig hits for a helper generally means just removing the fig from the dbase. Some scripts have been made that record the time between fig hits, the distance between them (ie adj, distance between hits and/or whether they are surrounds), another thing is the distance from current location, SD, alpha, rylos or a base H |

There are probably custom scripts for this, but if it's not too much trouble, keeping track of who: 1) Killed which fig 2) Paid tolls at which fig 3) retreated off which fig And the capability to copy, paste and clear results easily |
