Lonestar and I are going to do a re-write of the bot later this year. We will be looking for another scripter or 2 who would be willing to dedicate a little time to helping us out. We will probably start end of march/April and we expect the project to run through the end of the year. Maybe it will get done sooner but when it comes to real life you never know what may happen. lol. There will be a few brain storming sessions on functionality and layout of the script and it's modules/add-ons. Would like people who have a strong understanding of TWX scripting. There will be a thread later on for feature requests. |

Not sure your definition of "strong". Ive written a few things here and there. Kaus, and LS can both vouch for me I guess. If the group votes no its all good. Lately I've been laying low due to RL business. Let me know.. |

I'd be happy to jump in on a brain-storming session. I actually know nothing about your bot, but I'm willing to give feedback on what TWX is and isn't capable of, or even what it could be easily modified to do. |

EP - Your assistance during the brainstorming session would be great. RP - Can never have enough support. lol mob - not sure how many scripters we will need. This is not just a re-write of the bot itself but all of the modules that will be included with the bot/helper. |

I am starting the ramp up for this. JP will be setting up a private area for our debates and scripts. As for the scripters I have myself, Lonestar, Kaus, Mob, and possibly Toyman. For knowledge I will have Mind Dagger and Elder Prophet added to the group as well. For those that are anticipating the release, be aware that this is a lengthy project and we are scripting in our free time so it will take a while. I am looking for 1 more scripter and 2-3 more people who have a full understanding of the bot functions and features. |

I don't code (yet), but I'm willing to look over your help files for clarity. (look at them with "noob" eyes.) |

While I do realize (now) that gridwars are an important aspect of highly competative script play. Not all game edits are suited for a network of grid fighters. I.E. classic games with gold aliens and ferrengi. I'd like to ask the re-write team to make laying figs optional unless it is specifically a gridding script. And give the players the option to make the figs corp, per, off, def, or toll. Thanks! |

World_Trade / World_SSM / Mow / Surround, these all have the option to lay figs or not lay figs. I know WSST doesn't have the option but I modded mine to not lay figs so adding a option would be fairly easy. Comprise a list of the scripts your referring and I could give better answers. This is not meant to be confrontational but I would need some examples of scripts your referring. |

Maybe I just need to take this up with the author of a certain ppt'ing script I've used. |

Well if it is the script I am thinking of then I know 100% for sure it was designed for a tournament. So they will always grid, most scripter's build scripts on the fly to fit a particular game and not considering all options as it was not meant for every game. Building a bot package it will have to have many options in the modules to cover aggressive vs building/casual play. That is where all the testers come into play, we need a nice mixture of aggressive & building players to cover all the option's. |

| Post subject: | Re: M()M Bot Re-Write |
The goal of the re-write (including modules) is to allow for full customization of what you want your script to do. So if you do not want a certain script to lay figs, then you will be able to turn of the option off. In addition I want to make scripts able to load through bot, or stand alone. So with the bot load there will be certain defaults that will go back to the bot prefs. In a standalone version it will present the user with a menu. |
