Is there a server side program that will create files that can be imported by Swath and or Attac? or export to XML? |

I was wanting to provide a TWX file for my players to import. As far as I know, the only way to do this would be to run swath or attac with an observer account to collect the data and then export. |

The simplest solution (and fast as well as accurate) is to run Proms ZTM 4x through TWX with an Observer's acct. Thats what I use. |

If you want to make a warp spec file so your players don't have to ZTM, you could probably run a script to pull out all the warps and export to XML. Can TWX scripts write arbitrary files? |

Yes you can fill a file with arbitrary data using TWX.. but the easiest way to make a warpspec for your users is similar to what helix said.. use an observer account (and a matching new TWX database specific for the purpose) and simply use the "<I> Warp Display" option in the CIM menu (press the ^ key and then the I key. This will display all routes to the screen quite quickly and TWX will read the data into its database. Now you can use the TWX export data option to export the warp data into a warpspec file. No need for a ZTM. |

Erm... How do you create one of these observer accounts? I gave a user sysop capabilities, but I don't see any difference. |

Go in T-Edit and create an User Account and it will ask if you want it to be an Observer (select Yes), then login to the game. You can warp around without needing ore, you won't be able to port or land on planets.... and a few other things.. and if you run a CIM report as an Observer you get all port/maps without ever visiting a sector. |
