I'm trying to locate a script that will explore space dropping a fighter each time you enter a new sector. I have the registered verison of SWATH and I'm currently doing World trade/just explore but it takes too long due to the fact that the script makes you dock at each port aswell. any help would be appreciated

You can try the attached script. It's a Zoc script but will run in Swath just fine. It's nothing fancy but gets the job done and it's pretty fast even with the port trading option on.

Scrat, I tried that ZOC script that you posted, first I'd like to thank you for your help/post. Though I've run into an error

Rexx 189 +++ turnsused = turnsused + tpw
Rexx Error 41 running "C:\Users\Basementtroll\Desktop\New folder\explorer49.zrx", line 189: Bad arithmetic conversion

That was with "1500" being the integer for density.

I have used Ram's Unfigged Gridder, WorldTrade with port % trade set high and drop figs under ports works too. There some others that work also Alexio/DU Seekout and finally Lonestars LS_UnExScout to name a few. I will attach the ones listed except worldtrade which is part of the TWX pack.

I haven't seen that one before. It looks like TPW isn't getting set. What version of Tradewars are you playing? The script will need some mods to run on older versions of the game. Let me know what game version you are playing or you can open the script in notepad if you want to try modding it yourself.

I wrote an explore script framework about a year ago that should be easy to adopt to this. I call it a framework because (IIRC) it does nothing more than select the best adjacent, moves there haphazardly, and repeats this process. It picks the best adjacent according to my criteria (unexplored, number of warps, and density).

It would be up to you to modify the movement routine to be safer, and to drop the figs.

Let me know if you're interested,
