Hey! Just one really quick thing. Turbo works great btw. When I was trying to haul colos I had to manually put in the distance from terra to and from. Something you might wanna check out? I rebooted it twice and did samething.... Not a huge deal just some f.y.i.

a quick question .. did you do a ztm ? and a cim of sectors after ?

If not , how did you figure Swath would know where you were in references to tera ?

I'm sorry if I was wrong in that you had done the ztm , I will check and relay
your findings .. if you are correct.

Let me know.

Thank you.

Just an fyi, I downloaded and installed it, ran Swath without the game database first because I was paranoid about losing the registration. (I'm paranoid by nature, especially when it comes to the software I play with daily :) ) But it registered itself with no issues. (Big sigh of relief on my part) Anyhow, when I started it from my icon that links it directly to the game, it went in, and everything worked fine, including a colo run in turbo. No redo of the ZTM, and no CIM either. The only thing I did before I did the install was I exported the database to my desktop. Don't know if that had anything to do with the new version knowing exactly where everything is or not.

My only question is were there any changes to the Java API, and does anyone have a really good tutorial for Swath/Java? It took me 3 weeks to catch a mis-located semi-colon, and that was with a lot of help from Stein, and a few folks from this board.

I wouldn't waste my time trying to build a script library in Java, it's always been
a poor match for TW. Learn TWXproxy instead, will save you a lot of time. Swath
is an okay front-end helper, but it just doesn't have the flexibility and speed of
a TWX script.

I've stopped using SWATH entirely and have used TWX with ZOC almost exclusively. I can't remember the last time I fired up SWATH and used it. The primary reason is SWATH's output is slowwwwwwwwwwww.

I could run a 100 cycle TWX mover script from planet to planet in same sector in ZOC. it's done in seconds and I can move on to the next script.

Whereas I run that same script in SWATH, the screen would still be scrolling by even though the script is actually done. It just takes a while for SWATH to catch up to the script.

ZOC is fast with its output and along with TWX and various database scripts/commands such as ZTM, getnear, getfigs, foton, etc, it's all I need to play tradewars.

That's my feeling on SWATH anyways.

If you have the parse data button on then you can go into your computer and plot course from your planet to terra (AND BACK). Swath will pick that up and use it on colonization, of course if you have run from bas eto terra and back you wouldn't have to do this

I tend to run ZOC and TWX but also keep Swath connected to TWX also to use for data mining, if you get into the data it keeps reaaly well you can get a lot out of it. Withoout slowing down the game.
