Unread post Online Watch script uploaded to NavHaz
I've uploaded a zip file to NavHaz called OnlineWatch.zip

The zip file contains the following:

1) OnlineWatch.ts - A script that keeps track of who is online, who enters the game, and who leaves the game. Anytime an active script uses the "quick stats" key, it will update the window with who is online. (Much of the update code in this script came from Promethius's ztm script, so please give credit where credit is due)

2) playerin.wav - sound file that is activated when a new player enters the game and reports through your speakers "New Player"

3) playerout.wav - sound file that is activated when a player leaves the game and reports through your speaker "Player Left"

Note: The sound files must be copied to the windows/media directory for TWX to find them. (at least with windows xp anyway)

I also want to include that this script was designed to run in conjuction with another script and not as a stand alone script. It won't update unless a script or the user uses the "/" (quick stats) key.

You are welcome. However, that script only works with gold edited ships because of the trigger I used. I uploaded the newer version that works with all ships. It's available now.

Online Watch script has been updated and the new version uploaded to Nav Haz.

Changes include:

1) If the trigger isn't activated within 60 seconds, the window will be updated automatically, so it can be used as a stand alone script or a keep alive type script.

2) Time stamp that displays the last time the window was updated (xx:xx:xx am/pm)

3) Larger window with instructions included at the bottom of the window.

4) Note: There are no variables that have to be initialized with this script so it could be included as a bot call script.

So does it also update on subspace then?

I wrote the script to warn the user when someone new logs in or out while running a script like wssm, wtrade, etc. It would be hard to send a sub space command while running one of those scripts. Only reason I said that it could be called by bot is if someone wanted to re-write it and use it for a different purpose.
